History and HeritageArtistic Innovation...
Spring House on Spring Place in Kentish Town, North London, was established in 1844 as a steam–powered colour works for famous artists' suppliers Winsor & Newton.
The site was used to manufacture revolutionary wet watercolours and collapsible metal paint tubes, helping enable the Impressionist movement and plein air painting.
Royal Warrant
As artists' colourmen to Queen Victoria, the factory produced materials used by masters like Claude Monet and Charles–François Daubigny.

Creative Hub
This historic industrial building has been adapted into modern creative and commercial spaces, including design studios and curated offices managed workspaces.
ColourWorks Redevelopment
Portions of the historic creative buildings around Spring Place have been re–envisioned under the banner of ColourWorks (accessible via colour-works) as a modernised production – content – events + hub featuring studios – infinity coves – hospitality spaces.
