Hey, welcome to the studio!
Come in. Let me show you around.
The main studio + Infinity Cove.
This is 7 m x 7 m, 5 1/2 m up to the lighting truss.
We've had cars in here through the rolling shutters, and last week we even had a full garden set.
So, obviously, we've got the white cove, but some people want to shoot on a full blackout space, so this is what we've done.
There you go. White Cove to full blackout space in under five minutes.
Now, one of the happy coincidences with putting all of this in is this is 500g wool surge.
It completely changes the sound in here. It's completely flat, completely dead, which makes it perfect for your sound recordists.
So, come with me into here.
So, we also have a green screen cove, which is hidden behind this black drape here.
Follow me through to the other room.
So this is a kind of versatile space for all productions in here.
We've got Danish trolleys which are actually used in garden centres, but we can roll that out into the main studio and we can use it for storage or it can just be left here for storage as well.
But this is also a podcast space.
So sometimes people use this for actually just having lunch.
And other times they use it put the drapes across.
Hello again. and set up the lights and set up the cameras and basically use it as a little sound studio.
Coffee is what fuels a shoot and it's got to be decent coffee.
So, we've got a great coffee machine. I'll be making you coffee when you're here.
This was opened by Lord Lichfield. I can tell you the story when you come through to the rest of the facilities.
So, this used to be the dark room, believe it or not.
We've turned this into the kitchen.
Super functional space with cooker, washing machine, dryer, dishwasher, fridge.
Pretty self–explanatory.
Yours while you're here.
Come through here.
So, The Spice Girls and all of these pictures in the entrance hall were shot by Robert, who is the previous owner.
Listen to the podcast I did with him for further stories about this.
But basically, this is the entrance hall X2 toilets downstairs, one of which is accessible.
Uncontested 1 gigabyte internet line just for you while you're here.
Also, free parking outside. 10, 15, 20 cars… doesn't really matter.
And the facilities in the local area from cafe to B&Q to whatever you need are 5 minutes away.
So, welcome upstairs.
Let me show you this room.
We've got hair and makeup in here, which is massively important on any shoot.
All the accessories from all kinds of irons to a steamer to shower room.
And we even have a backwash unit should a talent need it on a shoot.
Another one of our rooms upstairs.
This can be used for wardrobe.
We've put a blackout blind there.
Find a clothes rail which can come in here – can be shifted over for ironing and clothes hanging.
Super useful, but also just as a breakout space for clients to sit and kind of watch what's going on in the studio floor.
Uh, I like that this was shot in here probably 10 or 15 years ago when Robert used to own the space and was brought in through the rolling shutters downstairs.
I just wanted to give you a view of the lighting truss that we installed from up here and we basically we put six LED chromaq space force lights in there on a DMX to make it so that it's easy for us to control it from the ground.
It's a plug and play so it just lights the cove so it's one less thing to have to worry about when you're here.
Now, I've been doing production for over 25 years now.
And when I took this studio over two years ago, I really wanted to bring the philosophy of making sure that this place never was the
issue.
So, the facility will never be the issue.
This is a blank canvas for you guys, whoever you might be, to create.
And we can help as much or as little as you need.
Whether it's just making a coffee and a providing croissants or actually sorting a full lighting rig for you, bringing in our crew and just
making your life as easy as possible so you can deliver your best work.
So, our final room upstairs is a versatile space.
We've got a potential ditch station or edit station here.
We've got a client viewing monitor, which basically is an SDI feed down to a camera feed on the studio floor.
And then also just your standard breakout space for clients to sit and chill out on a couch, have a cup of coffee, or even use this as an audio podcast space.
How do you heat and cool a void of a space like this?
Well, it's not the first question people ask, but it's an important one cuz you want to be comfortable whether it's in the summer or winter.
And we've done a lot of insulation in the ceilings and the walls to kind of help with retaining the heat and kind of keeping the keeping the heat
out as well.
But we've also been very fortunate that the Wiltshire County Council gave us a grant to put in an air source heat pump.
So that's trying to hit our net zero targets as well as using renewable energy source from Octopus Energy for all the electricity within the space.
So who is this space for?
Well, whether you're a photographer, an agency, a production company, a filmmaker, a YouTuber, this is the blank canvas to bring your production to life.
