Located on the border of the department of Manche and Calvados, near the A84 motorway (3 km), it is halfway between the landing beaches – 65km – 1h and Mont Saint–Michel – 72km – 50min

ON THE WEST COAST
– to the south
Saint–Malo, corsair town, Mont Saint–Michel a must–see tourist site, Granville, fishing and sailing port
Travelling up the coast, you'll enjoy an extraordinary and varied coastline with dunes, harbours (La Vanlée, Regnéville and St–Germain–sur–Ay), coastal towns, where you can stroll, practice fishing, and enjoy excellent local gastronomy
You can hop over to the islands of Chausey, Jersey, Guernsey, Sark (many daily maritime connections from Granville or Barneville–Carteret)
– further north
A detour to the Moulin de Vauville the Osmonville biscuit factory is essential and we mustn't forget Barneville–Carteret, La Pointe de la Hague, Le Nez de Jobourg, Auderville and its renowned restaurant 'La Malle aux épices', Port Racine, smallest port in europe and then Cherbourg, its ferry terminal and La Cité de la Mer
ON THE EAST COAST
Going down you will discover Le Val de Saire, Le Phare de Gatteville, Barfleur, St–Vaast–la–Hougue and then Sainte–Mère Eglise and the famous landing beaches and the American cemetery of Colleville–sur–Mer and Memorial of Caen
Closer to us and CENTRAL MANCHE
Saint–Lô – The Saturday market is a must, local products are widely represented – stalls of fish, seafood, shellfish, cheese, honey, artisan prods, clothes...
This is a city in which to stroll around the foot of its ramparts and you may also want to check out the national stud farm
Villedieu les Poêles and its bell foundry, Torigni–sur–Vire, see the castle, and typical Monday market, there are pedalos here too and for thrill seekers, The Bungy (bungee jumping) from the Souleuvre Viaduct
